The whole concept is centred around time, with paintings being 'revealed' at a certain time, for a period of time before the moment is gone and one is left to chance. Titled ‘Suspended in Time’, the exhibition explores the question of “When is a painting ‘done’?”

When an artist decides that a painting is complete, there is this ‘suspension’, where no further marks are made to the work. This moment of completion being just one single moment in the life of this painting, yet this is the moment the artist has chosen to be the reflection of the work.

With the works being ‘released’ or ‘revealed’ at certain moments of time, their fate is also wrapped up in a single moment in time. Does the work find the right home within 24 hours or does the raffle, or game of chance, begin?
