About thom

Thom Oosterhof is an independent curator, writer and advisor based in Amsterdam. His work moves across commercial galleries, cultural institutions, artist residencies and hotel groups. From solo shows to biennials, from Amsterdam to Istanbul to Hong Kong.

Gallery collaborations include NBB Gallery (Berlin), Gerhard Hofland, Marian Cramer and Homecoming Gallery (Amsterdam), NightCafe Gallery and Hurst Contemporary (London), Monti8 (Rome), Le Mont Art Space (Taiwan), Ruzy Gallery (Istanbul), The Hartz Project (Hong Kong), Trafo Gallery (Prague) and Iomo Gallery (Bucharest), alongside platforms such as 24HDROP, 4bySIX and Candid House. He is Head Curator at The Dean Hotel, Berlin, and has curated several graduation shows for students of various institutions.

His project 'Formative' was part of the 2025 Istanbul Biennale programme, having been previewed at Contemporary Istanbul. Named a 'Curator to Watch in 2024' by FollowArt, he contributes curatorial writing to exhibitions internationally and advises artists and collectors across the market. Upcoming projects span Istanbul, London, Paris, Bucharest, Ibiza, Singapore, Amsterdam and Hong Kong.
